Bhuvan Aadhaar portal: Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in collaboration with ISRO’s National Remote Sensing Centre has launched a ‘Bhuvan Aadhar‘ portal. The portal will help people to locate aadhaar centres near them for a variety of works.

Users will get the full address of the centre once they click on the location pin.

The portal offers aadhar card holders three premium services — Geo-spatial display of Aadhaar Centres, Route Navigation to nearest Aadhaar Centres and Proximity Analysis.

The portal shows different location pins for different types of aadhar centres on a map:

They are as below –

  • Blue Pin – If there is a centre marked by Blue Pin, then it will be available for all enrollment and update services.
  • Green Pin – Green pin will show only demographic change and mobile update services.
  • Red Pin – The Red Pin shows an aadhar centre where only child enrollment and mobile update is possible.
  • Dark Blue Pin – Dark blue Pin shows an aadhar centre where the service will have only child enrollment available.

How to find nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra using Bhuvan Aadhaar

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has released the ‘Bhuvan Aadhaar’ platform in conjunction with the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), one of the major centres of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in collaboration with the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), one of the core centres of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), has launched the ‘Bhuvan Aadhaar’ platform.

Through this platform, holders of Aadhaar Cards can access three premium features, including proximity analysis, route navigation to the closest Aadhaar Centers, and geographical display of Aadhaar Centers.

  • Search by Aadhaar Seva Kendra
  • Search by PIN Code
  • State-wise Aadhaar Seva Kendra

The map displays different colors defining different services offered at those centre.
The blue pin indicates that all services and updates are provided at this location. The green pin indicates centres that only provide demography and mobile updating services. The red pin shows child enrollment and mobile update service. Only kid enrollment centres are indicated in dark blue.

When users click on the location pin, they will be taken to the center’s full address. They can also ‘travel from current position’ to get to the heart of the matter.

How to find your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra?

Step 1: Visit https://bhuvan.nrsc.gov.in/aadhaar
Step 2: Click on ‘ Centre Nearby’ option on right side
Step 3: Type out your city and select the area near to your location and click search button
Step 4: Select centre based on your service to be available and click on ‘Get details’

Search by Aadhaar Seva Kendra: to check the centre by this option, for this you need to know the centre name.
Search by PIN Code: Provides a geographical representation of Aadhaar Centers by inputting the PIN Code of one’s location.
State wise Aadhaar Seva Kendra: Select state, district and type of centre to obtain a list of Aadhaar Seva Kendras in your region or state.

How to know your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra?

1. Visit https://bhuvan.nrsc.gov.in/aadhaar/ and you will get four drop-down options on the left side of the screen.

2. To locate your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra you can select ‘Centers Nearby’ option, and by selecting this option you can locate your nearest Aadhaar Centre by entering your location or city.

3. One can also select his or her nearest Aadhaar Centre through ‘Search by Aadhaar Seva Kendra’ option, for which you need to enter the name of Aadhaar Seva Kendra.

4. The third option is ‘Search by PIN Code’, and using this option one can get the geospatial display of Aadhaar Centers by entering the PIN Code of his location.

5. The fourth option is ‘State-wise Aadhaar Seva Kendra’, using this option you can enter the details like State, District, Sub-district, and Centre type, to get the list of State-wise Aadhaar Seva Kendras in your district or state.

6. Under the tools section, an Aadhaar Card holder can also use the proximity and get direction options to track the exact location of his or her specified Aadhaar Centres.

Aadhaar FaceRD App is a new app that UIDAI recently released in order to better assist Aadhaar cardholders. Holders of Aadhaar Cards can download the app from the Play Store and use it at home to authenticate their faces. They are no longer necessary to physically go to their nearby Aadhaar Center for face authentication thanks to this functionality. It’s time for Aadhaar Card holders to say goodbye to IRIS and fingerprint scans for verification purposes, since they can now use this app to verify their Aadhaar details using Face ID. The MoU was earlier signed by Shailendra Singh, Deputy Director General of UIDAI and Prakash Chauhan, Director, NRSC in the presence of the CEO of UIDAI.

“A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Unique Identification Authority Of India, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)…and NRSC, ISRO, Hyderabad, for technical collaboration here today,” an official statement said.

Other senior officers of UIDAI and NRSC were also present on the occasion

“NRSC will also provide web-based portal to collect and store data pertaining to existing and new enrolment centres to improve citizen centric services by carrying out regular statutory inspections,” the statement said.

NRSC inks technical collaboration pact with UIDAI to develop Bhuvan-Aadhar portal

Bhuvan-Aadhar portal will be providing a facility to search the relevant Aadhaar centres by location based on residents’ requirements.

The Unique Identification Authority Of India (UIDAI) on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), New Delhi, and the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), ISRO, Hyderabad, for technical collaboration. Under the new agreement, NRSC is set to develop the Bhuvan-Aadhar portal providing information and locations of the aadhaar centres across India.

Bhuvan-Aadhar portal will be providing a facility to search the relevant Aadhaar centres by location based on residents’ requirements.

As per MeitY, NRSC will also provide a web-based portal to collect and store data about existing and new enrolment centres to improve citizen-centric services by carrying out regular statutory inspections. Collected data will be moderated for quality through approved authorities at the regional level to ensure the precise information for residents about the centres along with an online visualization facility.

The portal will facilitate complete geographic information storage, retrieval, analysis, and reporting for Aadhaar centres, with a high-resolution backdrop of natural color satellite images.

UIDAI and NRSC are closely working out the modalities of design, integration, and rollout on priority.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as signed by Shailendra Singh, Deputy Director General, UIDAI and Dr. Prakash Chauhan, Director, NRSC in the presence of CEO, UIDAI and other senior officers of UIDAI and NRSC.

“The portal will facilitate complete geographic information storage, retrieval, analysis and reporting for Aadhaar centres, with a high resolution backdrop of natural color satellite images,” said the MeitY, adding that UIDAI and NRSC are working out the modalities of design, integration and roll out on priority.

NRSC will also provide a portal to collect and store data pertaining to existing and new enrolment centres. It will help to improve citizen centric services by carrying out regular statutory inspections.

The quality of collected data will be moderated by approved authorities at regional level to ensure the precise information along with online visualisation facility.
